How flexible are your tactics? You're about to find out!

Drawbridge Games is hosting a WM/Hordes Who's the Boss? tournament! For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, this is a tournament format in which your most critical piece (Warcaster/Warlock) are determined completely at random. It's fun, it's crazy, it's your chance to prove you are the boss of bosses!

Timings - First round starts at 10am, rounds will be timed using variable round length, number of rounds to be determined by number of players. There will be sensible breaks for food and rest. The final round top table will be recorded and webcast live. If there is tremendous demand, it may adjust the number of rounds and whether there is an elimination round.

Trophies and Prizes - Trophies will be awarded for 1) Overall Champion (Record > Control Points > Models Destroyed), 2) Best Painted Warcaster or Warlock (voted on by the players), and 3&4) two other surprise awards that will be announced at the conclusion of the tournament. There will also be prize support for these and potentially 2nd and 3rd place finishing (based upon number of players).

Entry Fee - $10

TO - Andrew Lotz

Who's the Boss Format - Players will bring 30 points of models chosen from a single faction (single pact or contract in the case of Minions/Mercenaries) but with no warcaster or warlock. Players must include at least 7 points of Warjacks or Warbeasts in the force. No models with a force allowance "C" (Character) can be included in the forces, as the focus will be on the bosses for this event. There will be typical Steamroller missions that are shared by all players in each round.

The Boss - Each round, players will receive a randomly generated Warnoun from the full list of painted warlocks and warcasters that are present for the tournament. Each player will get a "free re-roll" token that they can use once in the tournament if they wish to avoid a specific caster. Players will re-roll any caster generated from the faction they are fielding or one they have already played in the tournament. We'll rely on the shoulders of giants for all the nitty-gritty interactions and corner cases (e.g. Skarre's Fate Weaver damage is not transferable if she's a Warlock) and use the Who's the Boss FAQ list nicely tested by Grotscon. As they explain: "If you are playing a Warmachine army, and you get a warlock caster, that warlock becomes a Warcaster in all meanings. Fury Stat will become Focus, and overboosting armour is now possible. The reverse holds true as well, If you are playing a Hordes Army, and you get a Warcaster, that Warcaster becomes a Warlock in all meanings. Focus becomes Fury, and will be able to transfer damage. Depending on the faction of your army, your casters spells will be adjusted to reflect the new faction, mentions of Warjacks become Warbeasts and vice versa. Other specific named abilities will be lost in the translation, unless those models exist in your army. (Such As eSorscha's Elite Cadre and Desperate Pace.) If your Boss comes with a unique attachment (for example eKaya & Laris or Old Witch & Scrapjack) these models will also join your faction and their attached models will count as either a Warbeast (if playing a Hordes faction) or a Warjack (if playing a Warmachine faction) but their damage grids/spirals and special rules remain."
