I had a chance to try out the Grizzled last night, and I really enjoyed it. The art style is very stylized and captures the dire situation the characters are in well. When you first begin play, you may not make a direct connection between WWI and the mechanics, but they embrace the bleak setting. You often feel the odds are stacked against you and the unit is always on the verge of thing going from bad to worse.
The cards represent different threats.
It’s easy to accumulate trauma.
Tough choices are a hallmark of the gameplay.
